This note is from a fellow writer I asked to read Blood–

I had a few moments this morning to read; I loved the scene where Mitch’s sister, Gerry comes to see him. It resonated deeply with me for reasons I’ll tell you about sometime. I like that he sees how she’s come to peace with her wound. Profound. And now I feel we’re going to start getting to why the panties – the purity – By page 65 I have a very real sense of the life he’s lived and what it has made of him. Just not the ‘why’, yet. It’s not my usual reading, a bit gruesome, bloody and graphic, but, good writing and an intriguing character is keeping me hooked. What more could you ask?
